Lerla Pettiford

Lerla holds a Master of Education in Counseling (Clinical Mental Health and K-12), and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, with an anticipated Doctorate degree in the Summer of 2024. Lerla's lifelong passion for mental health awareness and therapy started in middle school where she learned she had a purpose of helping her family and friends work through their problems. 

Lerla is passionate about helping the broken hearted heal and find renewed life,hope and light in dark spaces. The spirit behind her counseling is rooted in Jeremiah 31:3, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit." 

She is committed to creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for her clients to explore their emotions and develop healthy coping strategies. Lerla is known for her empathetic approach, empowering clients to heal from their past, develop self-love, and build fulfilling, resilient, and healthy relationships. 

Lerla's professional journey has afforded her the privilege of helping military families, adolescents and teens, women, and couples navigate PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, building trust, conflict resolution, communication skills, and trauma. 

Lerla provides counseling both in-person and Telehealth.
